Norbulingka Institute

The Norbulingka is used as summer residence of the Dalai Lamas in Lhasa, Tibet. In the memory of Norbulingka Lhasa the Devote of Dalai Lama & followers of Tibeten culture made Norbulingka Institute in Sidhpur, a suburb of Dharamsala. Norbulingka Institute was founded Dharamshala in 1988 for preserving Tibetan culture, literature and art.

The first thing that struck me when I entered the Norbulingka Institute was the tangible calm that washed upon my senses. A closer inspection revealed the source of the serenity that had greeted me – the running water in various rivulets that almost chime in unison.

The Norbulingka Institute is a must-visit in Dharamsala.
You can watch the artists creating in person, and the venue is situated in a lovely green space oozing with character and charm.
